Have you ever toured a
dog kennel before? Chances are if you have asked to see the
"back of the house" you were told no, or given some excuse
as to why you couldn't see where your dog would be staying
for the night.
We know leaving your dog to board overnight can be a guilt
ridden experience, and that's why at Camp Bow Wow Fort
Collins, we do everything we can to help make you and your
dog feel comfortable with our camp. This is why we want you
and your dog to tour our boarding facility. We're convinced
when visit us, you'll realize there is no other place to
leave your dog.
The first thing
you'll notice is that all of the dogs are out in one of our
four indoor / outdoor play yards playing and socializing
with other dogs. The dogs have play equipment and are free
to go in and out at will. Unlike other dog boarding
facilities, our dogs are only in their cabins for meals and
nighttime. Of course if you think your dog needs some extra
naptime, we are happy to accommodate. Even if you find
another pet hotel / boarding facility that might claim to
have a social play environment, you should ask questions
like how long do the dogs get to play, is playtime included
in your boarding prices, do the dogs get to play inside and
outside, can I take a tour? You might be surprised at the
answers you receive.
Our boarding prices
are all inclusive. That means there is no extra charge for
playtime, administering medications, special feeding
instructions or feeding your food or ours.
Another thing you'll
notice on your tour is just how large our cabins are. Each
overnight camper has there own private cabin complete with a
cozy cot and warm, comfortable bedding. If you have more
than one dogs, our cabins are large enough that they can
share.
When you are away,
you can check in on your dog to see how he or she is doing
via our
camper cams. All of our play yards have cameras and if
you ever have trouble locating your dog, just give us a call
and we can help you locate him or her on-line. We can even
bring Fido up close to a camera to wave hi.
Another difference
between Camp Bow Wow Fort Collins and other dog boarding
facilities is the high staff to dog ratio we keep. The dogs
are constantly monitored to help keep our yards safe. We
also interview every dog to make sure they socialize well
with other dogs and we separate the dogs based on size,
activity level and disposition. Our camp counselors are also
certified in pet first aid and dog behavior.
We do have a few
rules at camp that everyone should be aware of. First, your
dog must pass a socialization interview with us. This is a
FREE day of daycare where we
try to make sure we are a good fit for your dog. We also
require your dog be at least 4 months old and spayed or
neutered if they are over 6 months old. Your dog must be
flea and tick free and in general good health. We also
require all dogs to be current on their Rabies, Distemper
and Bordatella (for Canine Cough) vaccinations. When you
come to camp for your first time, please bring in a current
copy of your pups vaccination records. Finally, your dog
should wear a soft, quick release collar.
Give us a call today
