Connecticut Pet Boarding

Camp Bow Wow® is a premier dog daycare and boarding facility with locations across the US, including Connecticut. We were created in response to our own desire for a fun, safe place for our dogs to stay. We were not happy with traditional kennels in which our dog was caged for most of the day; nor were we pleased with the more modern facilities that featured large and private, indoor/outdoor runs - our pup could go in and out but could also go days without human interaction. Other dog day care facilities had no place for our dogs to go outside or claimed to have a social environment but, rather than all-day play, they provided only an hour or two of social interaction with other dogs or short play sessions with their staff members. Our dogs wanted more, and we wanted more for them.

Business trips and vacations aren't always a good fit for Fido, and unfamiliar surroundings and food can cause upset stomachs and severe anxiety in canines. Most pups are actually happier and safer at a dog day care center or dog boarding facility than on the road, especially if they can stay at a facility they are familiar and comfortable with. Many families drop their pups off at dog boarding sites a day or two before leaving on vacation, so that last-minute errands and packing can be done without worrying about the dog. And during the holidays, it's easier to entertain guests when Rover is playing with friends at doggy daycare. Whether it's New Year's Day, day five of an out-of-town conference, or just your average day at the office, with our online web cams, you can check on your pup in Connecticut from anywhere you have internet access. You can also access our interactive, user-friendly website to find the closest camp, get contact information, and even make dog daycare or boarding reservations online.

In order to confidently open our doors to your kids, all pups must go through a rigorous screening process before becoming a certified camper. We monitor how well the dog interacts with unfamiliar people, as well as a few of our regular canine campers. All applicants must be spayed or neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordatella vaccines, and in overall good health (camps outside of Connecticut may require additional vaccines). Once accepted into the dog day care program, any dog displaying signs of aggression will be isolated and removed from camp. Such a system helps us live up to the title of the gold standard in dog boarding.

When you walk into Camp Bow Wow®, you will see why we call ourselves a premier dog day care and boarding facility. Whether it's our web cams, spacious cabins, or large indoor/outdoor play areas that first get your attention, you will see why we are a cut above our competitors.

Even though we are a premier facility, we don't tack on all those extra little fees that many of our competitors add on. All boarding dogs get free daycare, unlike some facilities that charge for each play session. Our rates also include administering medication, nighttime campfire treats, and we will feed either your food or our food for no extra charge.
