Dog Day Care Business Plan |
During the early 1990s, Camp Bow Wow®'s founder Heidi Flammang and her husband Bion created a dog day care business plan for what was at the time, a very new concept. Heidi was inspired when she and Bion faced the dilemma of leaving their own pups in a dog kennel during vacation. Dog boarding facilities in their area lacked warmth, amenities and activities for pets. They felt guilty leaving their "children" behind. The couple envisioned a fun, safe "camp" for dogs. In 1994, Heidi and Bion began their search for the first Camp Bow Wow® location; before it was selected, Bion died tragically in a plane crash. Committed to realizing the dream they shared, Heidi persevered to follow the dog day care business plan they had developed and open the first Camp Bow Wow® in the Denver metro area. Over the next six years, Heidi built a thriving business and opened a second location, while continually tweaking and improving upon the dog day care business plan she and Bion originally created. As of August 2006, there are over 26 open Camp Bow Wow® locations with over 50 expected to be opened by the end of the year. Camp Bow Wow® is the first and largest doggy daycare and boarding franchise. Camp Bow Wow continually raises the bar for quality and safety in the pet industry and searching for new ways to expand it's presence. Recently, Camp Bow Wow created a pet store business plan to create a premier retail branch of Camp Bow Wow®. If you are interested in hearing more about Camp Bow Wow's vision and dog day care business plan, be sure to contact us and we will make sure one of our camp scouts is available to answer any of your questions. If you are looking for the premier doggie daycare and boarding facility closest to you where a dog can be a dogSM, be sure to check for a location near you.
