Camp Bow Wow Brighton Township dog training services are specially designed to enrich your pup. Our premier dog training services offer flexible programs for every dog. The training methods we use are designed using only reward-based techniques to ensure your pup has the most fun learning experience. Our programs are exciting, effective, and enrich canines of all ages and behavior levels.

Enrichment Programs

Regardless of their age or behavior level, your dog’s health and happiness can be improved through enrichment activities. We provide numerous fun and engaging enrichment training programs that boast numerous benefits.

Our enrichment programs help:
  • Maintain your dog’s sharp mind and skills
  • Build a stronger bond between your dog and your family
  • Channel energy into appropriate tasks
  • Improve behavior in public spaces

Obedience Classes

Our reward-based training methods will help ensure that your dog attains the level of obedience most pet parents only dream about.

  • Level I – Basic Puppy or Basic Adult: These levels focus on building the foundation of reliable commands such as sit, down, leave it, coming when called and walking on a leash.
  • Level II – Intermediate: This level teaches your dog to heel by your side, go to their mat and add distance plus distractions to all of their behaviors.
  • Level III—Public Polishing/CGC Prep: This level teaches your dog to sit when you greet a stranger, heel in a crowd, and more. They will now be prepared for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) exam.

In-Camp & Private Training

Camp Bow Wow Brighton Township offers several options for our canine training. Our Certified Trainers can work with your dog while they attend Camp, spending one-on-one time with them. We can also provide training services working with you and your dog in a private setting if that’s most comfortable for you. These sessions can help your pup overcome behavior issues or provide enrichment.

DOGS DO NOT HAVE TO BE CURRENT CAMPERS OR BE FIXED TO BE IN TRAINING CLASSES! DOGS MUST BE PUP-TO-DATE ON RABIES, DISTEMPER, & BORDATELLA. CANINE INFLUENZA VIRUS VACCINATION ENCOURAGED.

  • Group Dog Training Classes Price
    Level I - Basic Puppy

    6 week class. For puppies between the ages of 10 weeks - 4 months old. Age appropriate vaccinations required. Focuses on basic manners and behavioral issues.

    Level I - Basic Adult

    6 week class. This level is all about learning the basics and building foundations for commands we will use in higher levels. In this class you will learn eye contact, sit, down, leave it, drop it, come, wait, sit for petting, stay, and so much more! Building a solid foundation is a very important step in beginning to train your pup!

    Level II - Intermediate

    6 week class. Prereq. of Level I. This level is building upon the steps to the foundations we built in Level 1 such as distance, distractions, and duration. In this class your pup will learn how to stay with distractions and distance, coming when called with distractions, advanced leave it, building a place "go to your mat" command, as well as working on heeling and loose leash walking!

    Level III – Public Polishing & Canine Good Citizen Prep

    6 week class. Prereq. of Level II. This class teaches your pup all the steps to be a publicly polished dog as well as prepping them if you are interested in taking the Canine Good Citizen evaluation! In this class we work on building positive greetings for your pup! This includes: accepting a friendly stranger, reactions to distractions, reactions to dogs, super advanced Leave It commands with dogs and people, appearance and grooming (being comfortable with their feet being touched and being brushed), walk

    Level 4 - "Out & About"

    6 week class. Prereq. of Level III. This class is for pups that have passed Level 3 with Devon and want to work on building their pup's skills in public places such as parks like the Mill Pond, or dog-friendly stores like Home Depot! We will use the skills we learned from all three previous levels such as sit & stay, place, coming when called, leave it, walking through a crowd, and reactions to distractions!

    Walk It Out

    Is your pup pulling you into Camp or down the street? Then Walk It Out is for you! This class gives you all the tips, tricks and practice you need to have your pup walking with a loose leash next to you! For this class your pup does need to know the basics of Level 1, as we use some of the foundations we learned from that class! (Must have some sort of Puppy or Level 1 knowledge at Camp or somewhere else)
